Volunteer of 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and Paralympics
In the February and March 2022, Beijing hold the winter Olympic and Paralympic games. As a student in Beijing, I had the chance to apply for the volunteer position and luckily succeed. Therefore, I got the chance to sever in the National Alpines Skiing Center as a doping control chaperone and spent two meaningful months in my life.
As a doping control chaperone, I need to inform the the selected athletes (usually medalists!) to do doping tests and accompany them to the doping control station. It is a kind of boring job because we cannot take photo with them or ask for signature, and to be honest, many athletes are not happy to be selected to do the test. But this is still a meaningful job since it is helping keeping the game clean. And there are also many exciting moments in the job. We can watch the game at a really close distance and can even ski if necessary. The doping control team is really a warm family and we developed deep friendship during the two months.
